The Northwest Maryland Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is seeking a full or part-time Ministry Coordinator to oversee their established and expanding Good News Club (GNC) ministry.

Position Summary:  Establish, organize and encourage the school-based club ministry within a local area, helping more unchurched children hear the Gospel. $17 – $25/Hr. (based on experience).

Primary Duties:

  • Manage the Good News Club (GNC) program, interacting with local schools; GNC Team Leaders; churches and volunteers to facilitate properly led and fully staffed weekly CEF clubs.
  • Train GNC volunteers to enable them to conduct the weekly GNCs, with emphasis on evangelizing and discipling children for Christ.
  • Assist NW MD Director and Board in expanding ministry of the NW Maryland CEF Chapter.

Work Location:

  • Primarily home-based
  • Occasional local travel for conducting training and interactions with schools and volunteers

Position Requirements:

  • A Biblical worldview, a demonstrated love for Jesus Christ and an unquestionable passion to reach kids with the Gospel
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Timeliness and dependability
  • Ability to apply technology to foster community engagement with the CEF activities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint (or equivalent)
  • Standard background check

Christian Ministry / Educational Background

  • Experience (volunteer or paid) with a non-profit Christian organization such as a church, Christian school, or para-church ministry. Experience with children’s ministry preferred.
  • Some training or college courses in missions, theology, ministry leadership or Biblical studies.
